I have an intuitive understanding of colour and texture allowing me to create rooms that are visually stimulating and yet feel personal, unpretentious and most importantly, comfortable. My Scandinavian roots inspire me and my values of good design, the use of long-lasting materials and craftsmanship at an affordable price.
Colour creates emotion, I've always loved to combine colour, pattern and texture in decoration and furnishing. From textile design to interior design my passion lies in provenance, we can surround ourselves with carefully selected pieces that we feel reflect something of who we are, where we have come from and what we are connected to.
I studied Textile Design at Chelsea college of Art, London. At my final degree show there was such interest that I started my own knitted accessories company and brand - Lola Swift. Our collections were sold all around the world Japan, New York, Paris and in well known stores such as Selfridges, Designers Guild, Paul Smith and many boutiques across the UK.
In 2014 I opened my first pop-up store selling a curated range of fashion and interior products in my home city of Bath and later London. The curating of shops and the renovation of four period houses has fuelled my love for interior design combining colour, textiles, products all together. As a natural progression I am now firmly on my Interior design path.
